Patmos, Greece
Each time I visited this area of Greece, I did the same thing every time, and I highly advise you to do the same at least once. Hire out a Moped or Quad bike, and explore the Island. You can do the whole of Patmos in less than a day, and believe me, just for the view, it is well worth the small price it costs to hire and fuel a Moped.
This beautiful island, boasts beautiful scenery throughout the area, and has so many little areas that are secret to the everyday Tourist. We come across a Nude Beach, which was something to see and visit, not only to satisfy curiosity, but also because it is well known to be one of the most beautiful secluded beaches within Patmos.
To find this beach, just ask a local for directions. Learning a bit of Greek doesn’t go a miss to help you communicate once you reach more local areas. There is only so far you can drive with the moped when searching for the beach before you end up going down a track which ends at a dead end. At this point, park up, and lock your helmet away, and switch to comfy trainers, because you are going to need them. You will go through a gate now on foot and will be walking up a track, which is basically a hike trail. After about 20 minutes of climbing rocks, you will find your self at the top. Keep walking till you can not do anything else but climb down. Look down. The Beach awaits you. A Picture of the view is below. If you like to explore, then you will love this place.
