Saguenay, Quebec, Canada

This year was my first time travelling to Canada, and this was one of my first ports. The best things about this was the fact that we took a helicopter ride, which meant we really got to see the beauty this area had to offer, but from a birds eye View. The only issue I faced here was that when you started exploring more in to the town, you soon found that a lot of the locals did not speak English. Saguenay is a French Canadian area, and I fund it quite difficult to get bye. I speak some Spanish, but French, I am simply useless. However, we got by with the standard point and nodding technique haha. Safe to say, and few French classes wouldn’t have gone a miss. Still, I was not here just to order lunch, but to see the beauty it has too offer. It certainly delivered as you can see from the pictures. Also make sure you try the local cuisine. I must say, my favourite was poutine, which originated in Quebec, also known as a heart attack on a plate. It’s basically Chips, covered in gravy and cheese with steak pieces. Sorry, but I thought it was AMAZING, despite how bad it clearly is for you . Yum yum.
